At Allergy & Asthma Center of Rochester, We're Always Accepting New Patients!
Please Take a Moment to Read Our Welcome Letter for More Information About Our Practice
Dear Newcomers,
We would like to take this opportunity to introduce you to our office and the services we provide. If any member of your family has been treated previously for allergies or asthma, or if symptoms of allergies have recently developed, we may be of assistance to you.
We have been serving the community for over 50 years, treating children and adults for hay fever, sinus trouble, chronic cough, asthma, food and drug allergies, stinging insect allergies, skin allergies (such as contact dermatitis and eczema), hives, gluten allergy and intolerance, IBS, GERD, eosinophilic esophagitis, yeast infection, and much more.
One of your main concerns is probably the quality of the medical care provided to you and your family. In that case, you should know that Dr. Czarnecki and I are the only allergists in Rochester that are certified by the American Board of Allergy and Immunology. In addition, I was the former Chief of Allergy at Corewell-Troy Hospital and I am on staff at Henry Ford Rochester Hospital and Corewell Hospital-Troy. I am also an assistant professor at Oakland University medical school.
If you have been treated for allergies at your previous location, you will be relieved to know that continuation of your treatment here in our community will be a simple matter. A transcript of your records will provide us with the information that we require to make up your allergy serum and continue your therapy without interruption. It is not necessary for you to repeat allergy skin testing at our office unless you have new symptoms which have recently become bothersome, or if your injections don't seem to control your symptoms as well as they should. If you were provided the serum for your injections from your previous physician, we can continue to administer those injections for you. We do not require appointments for allergy injections.
After your initial introduction appointment, you may come in at any time during our office hours to receive your injection - it couldn't be simpler! If you have not been treated for allergies before, skin testing will be completed in one appointment, and your course of treatment can begin right away. If you want to take your serum to your primary care physician closer to home to receive your injections, we can assist you with that as well.
We are a participant in most PPO and HMO plans. HMO plans do require referral authorization from your primary care physician. If you have a question regarding your particular insurance coverage, give us a call and we will address your specific concerns. For your convenience, you can also review our accepted insurance providers to see a sample of the plans that we participate with.
We look forward to meeting you and your family! Simply give us a call to set-up your first appointment. Once again, welcome!
Sincerely,
Ulrich O. Ringwald, M.D
